Cock

The good pub guide review

Timeless little thatched country pub with salmon-pink exterior; well kept Adnams, Greene King and interesting local guests, proper cider and enjoyable traditonal food from short menu nicely cooked by landlady, cosy ochre-walled snug and second small room, antique floor tiles, lovely coal fire, old photographs of village (church well worth a look); darts, shove-ha'penny; well behaved children and dogs welcome, picnic-sets up on side grass with summer hatch service, one bedroom, open (and food) all day Fri-Sun.
