Boot & Shoe

The good pub guide review

Cosy 17th-c two-bar pub in pretty 'Tarzan' village; low ceilings, exposed brickwork and dark woodwork, good generously served traditional food including blackboard specials, well kept Black Sheep and a couple of local microbrews such as Lancaster Blonde, bustling friendly atmosphere; Thurs quiz, live music; children welcome, dogs in bar, seats out at front and in back garden with good play area, on national cycle route, four bedrooms, open all day.
