The good pub guide review

Early 19th-c dining pub with neat opened-up bar area; light wood flooring, a mix of furniture including sofas and easy chairs, lots of colourful artwork and a couple of Victorian fireplaces, four well kept beers including Surrey Hills and plenty of wines by the glass, good food from upscale bar snacks, sharing plates and traditional favourites to more enterprising restauranty dishes, friendly staff, high-ceilinged back dining extension with small outside eating area; background music, sports TV, daily newspapers; well behaved children till 7.30pm, dogs in bar, teak tables under parasols on front paved terrace looking across to green, open (and food) all day.
