Friendly old black and white local prettily tucked away down narrow cobbled alley; seven well kept ales, foreign draught/ bottled beers and real cider, knowledgeable staff, decent uncomplicated low-priced food from sandwiches up, beams, nooks and crannies and shelves of books, long back room; background music, live blues Thurs night and Sun afternoon, folk session Weds evening; dogs welcome, a couple of tables in flower-filled backyard, open all day.
