Information for Advertisers

The Good Pub Guide website is free for all readers to use – and it is our intention to continue this. Therefore in order to make the revenue to keep the site going we are reliant on advertising.

The site supports a range of different advertising options that will ideally provide the perfect solution for every advertising need.

These can be broken down into the following 3 alternatives:

 

Sponsorship

Advertisers who want to be integrated into the site and align their brands closely with The Good Pub Guide and the qualities it stands for will find a range of options available via Sponsorship.

All options provide Home Page links, relevant copy on selected pages and branding across the sponsored section. Areas that can be sponsored include Regions, Awards, Blogs, Pub of the Day and Pub News.

The exact nature of the sponsorship is flexible, and the price equally varies depending on exact requirements, however sponsorship opportunities start on the site from as little as £1,000 per month.

 

Display Advertising

There are 3 standard display advertising positions on the website that are all available to be purchased on a Cost per Thousand (cpm) basis.

Leaderboard (729 x 90) – top of all pages

Skyscraper (120 x 600) – on right hand side of all pages bar the Home Page

MPU (250 x 300) – on approx 50% of pages

Prices for display advertising start from £10 cpm and can be targeted to sections, time of day and country.

 

Licensee Premium Listing

No charge is levied on pubs that are recommended in The Good Pub Guide or to appear in the database of the website.

Equally all licensees have the opportunity to add some basic information and images about their pub to the site free of charge (go to the Licensees section for more details).

However, The Good Pub Guide is planning to create a Premium Listing within the website that will allow greater information to be added about pubs (particularly about food and accommodation) with more words, photos and menus etc.

This will include changes in the Search information plus a range of other benefits. This feature is still in development and is likely to be based on an annual subscription.

The Good Pub Guide audience is weighted towards well educated, older men with a high disposable income, a very rare demographic online. Therefore it is perfect not only for those industries directly involved with the pub trade but for a whole wider range, including travel and finance.
