Village pub with award-winning beers from own brewery, and tasty food

The own-brewed beers in this family-run pub continue to draw praise from their many customers. From the Houston Brewery, the five constantly changing ales might include Blonde Bombshell, Killellan Bitter, Peters Well, Texas or Warlock Stout - you can look through a window in the bar to the little brewery where they are produced. They also keep 12 wines by the glass and more than 100 malt whiskies. The clean, plush, hunting-theme lounge has beams, comfortable seats by a fire and polished brass and copper; piped music. Popular with a younger crowd, the lively downstairs bar has a large-screen TV, pool, juke box and fruit machines. At the back is a covered and heated area with decking.
